A man is dead and three others are in hospital following a two-vehicle collision near Chatham.
The crash occurred just before 6 p.m. Saturday at the intersection of Highway 40 and Fairview Line.
Police say a Chrysler travelling west on Fairview Line, and a Pontiac minivan travelling north on Highway 40 slammed into each other.
The male driver of the Chrysler was pronounced dead at the scene.
The deceased has been identified as Bradford Hudson, 53, from Chatham.
The passenger in the car has been identified as Ashley Hooper, 27, from Chatham.
The driver of the minivan has been identified as Tammy Austin, 46, from Chatham.
The passenger in the minivan has been identified as Stuart Hamblin, 44, from Chatham.
Police shut down a portion of Highway 40 and Fairview Line for several hours as they investigated the collision.
They have since re-opened.
The investigation continues.
