Windsor police have arrested one man and have issued a warrant for another man after a duplex was shot at in west Windsor.
Officers were called to the 300 block of Wellington Avenue on Saturday at about 3:15 a.m.
Police removed a family from the lower unit and two males from the upper unit. Officers saw several "spent" ammunition casings in front of the duplex. They also saw evidence that several rounds were fired into the duplex.
No one was injured during the shooting.
Police say the two males in the upper unit were with friends and were involved in a physical altercation outside a downtown night club earlier in the evening with a second group of males. Several of the males in both groups are known to each other.
A male suspect in the second group allegedly showed he had a handgun tucked into his waistband. Another member of the second group was allegedly shouting threats that they were going to kill the other males.
The crowd dispersed and two of the males from the first group went to the upper residence on Wellington.
Approximately five minutes after entering the residence, the two males describe hearing multiple gun shots followed by the sound of a car squealing its tires.
Officers say they were able to identify both men through investigation.
Jade Freeswick, 18, was arrested on Saturday. He was charged with possession of a restricted firearm and uttering death threats.
A warrant has been issued for the arrest of Keith St.Pierre, 21, for uttering death threats and possession of a restricted firearm.
