A 33-year-old man is in police custody after he allegedly assaulted a number of people with a piece of wood at a south Windsor business.
Police responded to the 3200 block of Walker Road just before 7 a.m. Tuesday.
Police say the man had smashed out the front windows of Manor Realty and was attacking employees with the piece of wood.
One of the workers was able to get the weapon and hold him down until police arrived.
The suspect sustained a few injuries and was sent to hospital for treatment.
He's charged with break and enter, assault with a weapon and mischief.
