After months of speculation, Ken Lewenza Sr. has decided not to run for mayor of Windsor in the upcoming municipal election.
Lewenza says he was approached by many residents to run after Mayor Eddie Francis announced he wasn't seeking another term earlier this year.
However, the former leader of the CAW says there have been a number of credible candidates who've since stepped up and announced their intentions.
Lewenza says he remains active on labour issues and wouldn't be able to fully commit to running the city.
