Windsor has another mayoral candidate, this time coming in the form of a two-term councillor.

Drew Dilkens has entered the mayoral race for this fall’s municipal election. He will officially announce his candidacy at a news conference Tuesday at 11:30 a.m., just west of the Art Gallery of Windsor.

Dilkens, the current councillor in Ward 1, also sits on the boards of the Windsor Airport, EnWin Energy and the Essex Windsor Solid Waste Authority.

He joins six others in the race to become mayor. Ernie The Baconman, Timothy Dugdale, Robin Easterbook, Larry Horwitz, Raymound Poisson, and Mike Tessier.
