Impaired driving charges have been laid after a recent RIDE check stop.

On Thursday just after midnight, police were set up on Puce Road in Lakeshore. A driver stopped and upon speaking with them, police said they determined the driver was impaired.

The 68-year-old Lakeshore man was taken for further testing. He now faces a charge for operation while impaired – alcohol and drugs.

His vehicle was impounded for seven days and the accused’s license was suspended for 90 days.
