Windsor police say they have charged a fifth teen related to a video of an assault that is being circulated online.

On Wednesday, at about 6 p.m., police began an investigation into the alleged assault involving teens.

Police say a teenage female went to Windsor Police Headquarters with a family member to reported that she was a victim of an assault which occurred on Nov. 8, at about 5 p. m., in the area of the 4800 block of Wyandotte Street East.  

The victim said that she was approached by a group of teens, both male and female, who began shouting at her, taunting her and trying to instigate a fight. 

Police say a number of the suspects in the group assaulted the victim, while shouting at her.  She sustained minor injuries and didn't require medical attention.

Officers also responded to a call at a residence from one of the individuals from the group involved in the incident who advised that she was receiving threats from a number of people online

Through the investigation, on Nov. 11, detectives from the youth branch say they were able to identify the teens who were involved in the incident.

A 15-year-old female from Windsor is charged with assault. 

A 14-year-old female from Windsor is charged with assault. 

A 15-year-old male from Windsor is charged with assault. ​

A 19-year-old male from Windsor is charged with assault. 

On Nov. 14, a fifth teenager – a 15-year-old female is charged with assault.
