Essex County Fire and Rescue crews are on scene at a house fire on Belcreft Beach just south of The Meadows.

The fire broke out earlier Wednesday morning and there is heavy damage to the home.

Officials are asking the public to avoid the area.

There has been no word on any injuries or a cause.
