The owner of a downtown Windsor restaurant is saying goodbye.
Elias “Louie” Sleiman and his family have owned and operated Elias’ Deli for 45 years. Their last day running the deli on Ouellette was Friday.
Sleiman opened the eatery in 1968 and it has remained family owned and operated for more than four decades.
The 73-year-old is leaving the downtown staple so he can enjoy retirement.
The restaurant is reopening under a new name and different management. All staff members are staying on.
