Essex County OPP say a suspect has been arrested in connection with an assault and robbery in Leamington on Saturday.
Police were called after a 37-year-old Wheatley woman was allegedly robbed and assaulted by a man she knew.
The woman was reportedly driving on Talbot Street East when she stopped to offer the man - who she thought was hitch hiking - a ride.
He then allegedly reached in and grabbed her wallet, which was on the front seat, and struck her in the face during an ensuing struggle.
He had last been seen walking west on Talbot Street East with the wallet.
OPP now say that 23-year-old Vincenzo Incitti of Leamington was arrested on Sunday.
He has been charged with robbery.
