Ambassador Bridge officials say the city is to blame for the look of homes the company owns in Windsor’s west end.
Responding to a $10-million lawsuit against the bridge company, president Dan Stamper says his operation wants to demolish the boarded-up homes.
However Stamper says the city has prevented the company from tearing down the dwellings to make way for a second span.
Homeowners who launched the suit claim the bridge company allowed the homes to become rundown - making their neighbourhood a slum.
City solicitor George Wilki says the bridge company has "no case" after an independent judge ruled the city is not to blame back in 2011.
