Two people are in custody after a break and enter in Windsor's east end.

Police say a witness saw three or four suspicious people outside of the Beer Store on Tecumseh Road East.

They were seen loading items into a white pickup truck at 1:30 a.m. Monday.

When police arrived, the truck fled the scene northbound on Lauzon Road.

A fire call came in a short time later on Russel Street. Police say a vehicle that caught fire was the same white truck involved in the break and enter.

Officers say the truck was stolen earlier in the evening.

The investigation is ongoing.
