Mayor Drew Dilkens says the cost for building a new Windsor City Hall is going to be higher than anticipated.
Dilkens says the cost is going to be $4 million more than expected.
That puts the total budget at $39 million.
He says there’s a list of 50 items that could cause the cost to go up - among them, the plan for pillars around the outside. Engineers are planning to enclose them to keep costs down.
The project budget goes before council in June. Construction is slated to begin this November.
