St. Clair College is closing the skilled trades gap in Windsor.
The college’s pre-apprenticeship program received double its funding from the Ontario government to try to meet the skills shortage in the area.
The government provided more than $640 million to expand its precision metal-cutting program with a second intake of students coming this summer.
On Saturday, the college will hold an open house from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. about its pre-apprenticeship program.
