A woman was rescued from the Detroit River early Friday morning.

Windsor Police are being credited for saving her life.

Officers were dispatched to the riverfront, near Caesars Windsor in the 300 block of Riverside Drive East around 3:20 a.m.

Police were able to reach the woman by using a cable.

The woman, who is in her 20s, was unconscious when they pulled her out. Officers say she regained consciousness on the way to the hospital.

She had a minor head injury, according to police.

Police are still investigating.
