It wasn’t the outcome Windsor Express fans were hoping for when their favourite basketball team fell to the Island Storm in Prince Edward Island Wednesday night.
The Storm now leads the National Basketball League finals, 2 games to 1 defeating the Express 129 to 104.
Fans showed their support at the Loose Goose, with the game streamed online.
Early in the game, season ticket holder, Julie McKellar had high hopes. "They got a couple good players on the storm so we really have to shut them down especially Orkee who can shoot the 3-pointers."
As the game unfolded, Lucas Labute felt The Express was on the defensive. "There's so many external factors that can affect their game it's only them who make the decision if they are going to win or lose."
Despite the score, fans say the season is not over and are keeping the faith
Many of them believe the Express will bring home the championship.
Game four is set to go in Charlottetown at 6 p.m. local time on Friday.
