Residents of a Windsor apartment building were forced out of their units after a fire broke out around 7:30 a.m. Wednesday morning.
Windsor fire officials say three residents suffered minor injuries, one for smoke inhalation.
The blaze started on the fifth floor at 2455 Rivard Avenue. Crews rushed to the scene and began to assist residents of the senior’s complex for smoke inhalation.
One resident says he heard a loud bang and soon after his apartment filled with smoke.
Fire officials say 32 residents were displaced.
There is no word on cause and no estimate of damage.
An investigator with the Office of the Ontario Fire Marshal was called in.
