Suspicious fire causes $80,000 damage to Chatham-Kent home

Chatham-Kent police are investigating a suspicious house fire.

Damage has been estimated at about $80,000.

Emergency crews responded to a residence on Richmond Street at about 5:00 a.m. Monday morning. Police say the home was engulfed in flames.

There was no one inside at the time of the fire.
