A bail decision for Scott Quick, who is facing a first-degree murder charge in the death of Nancy Quick, has been postponed to July 22.
The judge was reportedly unable to render his decision due to a serious family illness, saying a close family member is in intensive care.
Quick, 48, was charged in the death of his extranged wife after she was struck by and hit and run driver in Tecumseh in 2006.
She died in a Detroit hospital five days later.
The stolen vehicle was later recovered and a witness reported seeing man exit the vehicle.
A publication ban is in effect on details of the case.
