Windsor’s most dangerous intersections are outlined in a recent report released by the city.
The 2013 Road Safety Report says the intersection of Lauzon Parkway and County Road 42 is the most dangerous intersection with traffic signals.
The most dangerous intersection without signals is listed as Dougall Avenue and Ouellette Place.
In 2013, there were 3,798 reported collisions on Windsor roads. This included four fatal collisions, 929 injury collisions, and 2,865 property damage only collisions.
Alcohol was involved in 2.69 per cent of Windsor collisions in 2013.
Windsor has less fatal and alcohol-related collisions than the provincial average.
The report reflects only reported collisions on Windsor roads. Unreported collisions, collisions on roads, provincial highways and collisions on private property are not included.
The 2014 Road Safety Report is expected to be released this fall.
