Ontario's Ministry of Labour is investigating after a worker was killed on the job in west Windsor.
At a news conference Friday morning, Sgt. Matthew D’Asti with Windsor police confirmed a 55-year-old female employee of Canadian Electocoating Ltd. was killed during an industrial accident.
Emergency crews were called to Canadian Electrocoating, a division of Narmco Group, at 945 Prince Road, around 8:42 a.m. Investigators are in the process of contacting next of kin.
Police wouldn’t confirm the cause of death, but workers tell CTV Windsor that the woman died when bins fell on her.
The Ministry of Labour is now on scene, and are working with police on the investigation.
