Provincial police are investigating after an OPP cruiser collided with a vehicle in St. Joachim.
Emergency crews have closed County Road 42 on Friday, between County Road 31 and East Ruscom Road, while they investigate the two-vehicle crash.
An eyewitness tells CTV Windsor that the officer was responding to a call at a high rate of speed, when it collided with another vehicle.
The caller says the cruiser barrelled over a gas pump and came to rest when it struck the porch of a house.
OPP didn’t confirm the eyewitnesses report. Both drivers have been taken to hospital with non-life threatening.
The province's Special Investigations Unit is now handling the case.
