LaSalle Police have charged a Windsor man in connection to a bank robbery at a CIBC branch on Feb. 28.
Working with Canada Border Services Agency in Windsor, investigators identified the suspect – who had been detained on Friday for an immigration violation and hearing in Toronto.
Acting on the tip, police executed a search warrant at a Windsor residence seizing evidence.
26-year-old Jefrey Ssekawunde is charged with numerous criminal charges including Robbery and he is in custody in Windsor awaiting arraignment on the charges.
The investigation continues.
