FireFest 2018 will be the last one in Chatham-Kent.

Organizers say due to volunteer and sponsor fatigue, this will be the last year for FireFest Chatham-Kent.

According to the organizing committee, it costs on average $30,000 to host the event each year.

Canada's largest fire muster will be held in downtown Chatham this year on September 29 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Organizers expect 80 to 100 antique fire trucks, police cars and ambulances will be on display.

Vehicles associated with FireFest Chatham-Kent will also be at St. Clair College's "Family Fun Day" September 16 and will attempt to set a World Record for the Longest Fire Truck Parade Route in conjunction with the International Plowing Match and Rural Expo on September 22.
