Members of the International Children's Games technical committee say they were impressed with the facilities as they finished their last visit to Windsor before the event this summer.
Officials say these are going to be the biggest and best games ever, so much so that records should be set.
The clock is ticking until the eyes of the world are on Windsor when the games start on Aug. 14.
“There's no such thing as perfect games, but I think we're going down the best road to give a good crack at it here," says Richard Smith, ICG secretary general.
ICG officials wrapped up their final three-day visit to the Rose City before the opening ceremonies.
It's at the initial event where Windsor will be included into the international general assembly.
"This centre is something special because you really have thought of everything," says Igor Topole,
ICG vice president.
The main attraction in the eyes of the committee is the almost ready. Officials say the family aquatic centre ranks within the top three aquatic facilities in the world.
The centre is just one location across town that will play host to a number of events where over 1,500 athletes will compete.
"Some of them they will start searching for opportunity to compete to be better and better and better and in the future you might have Olympic gold medals," says Topole.
About 4,500 out-of-towners are expected to stay in the city, including participants, coaches and their families and friends.
