Shoppers looking to pick up last-minute gifts, groceries or alcohol should be aware businesses are getting ready for Christmas and Boxing Day.
The two statutory holidays mean there will be a number of closure and special business hours for stores and government offices. A number of stores are also closing on New Year's Day.
Christmas Eve
- Banks, government offices and post offices will close early.
- Devonshire Mall is open 9:30 a.m. to 5 p.m.
- Tecumseh Mall is open 9:30 a.m. to 5 p.m.
- Windsor Crossing Premium Outlets is open 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.
- Great Lakes Crossing Outlets (Michigan) is open 9 a.m. to 6 p.m.
- Twelve Oaks Mall (Michigan) is open 9 a.m. to 6 p.m.
- Other shopping centres and grocery stores will also close early.
- LCBO and Beer Store locations will be open until 6 p.m.
Christmas Day
- Most businesses, shops and restaurants are closed.
- Banks, government offices and post offices will be closed.
- Some 24-hour pharmacies remain open, check your location for details.
Boxing Day
- Devonshire Mall is open 7 a.m. to 7 p.m.
- Tecumseh Mall is open 9 a.m. to 6 p.m.
- Windsor Crossing Premium Outlets is open 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.
- Great Lakes Crossing Outlets (Michigan) is open 9 a.m. to 10 p.m.
- Twelve Oaks Mall (Michigan) is open 8 a.m. to 9 p.m.
- Other shopping centers and grocery stores will open early.
- LCBO and Beer Store locations will be closed.
- Banks, government offices and post offices will be closed.
Transit
- Transit Windsor will be operating on a Sunday schedule Dec. 24, 26 and Jan. 1 with some route exceptions.
- City transit will be running on a special schedule on Dec. 25.
