Talks will resume Thursday morning between the University of Windsor, and the union representing nearly 1,000 faculty members.

The Windsor University Faculty Association says talks ended early Thursday morning, so both the union and administration could rest up. They will head back to the bargaining table later Thursday morning.

As of 12:01 a.m., the university can legally lockout their faculty and librarians, but WUFA president Anne Forrest is optimistic a deal can still be reached. There’s no sign as of yet, that administration will lockout staff.

A general meeting was scheduled for 10 a.m. for the WUFA membership, but has since been cancelled.

Faculty have been without a contract since Tuesday.
