Some Windsorites are showing what they will do to win free wings for a year.
About 30 people were camped in tents waiting for the opening of Buffalo Wild Wings at Devonshire Mall on Monday morning.
The wing lovers have been in line since 6 p.m. Sunday night, according the Buffalo Wild Wings spokesperson Julie Brennan.
Brennan says by 9 a.m. the line grew to over 100 people and by the 10 a.m. grand opening even more had arrived.
The first 100 guests received a coupon book and five free wings each week for a year. Staff members did a draw to hand out 10 more coupon books.
“We are very excited to be opening our tenth Canadian restaurant and we look forward to becoming a part of the dynamic Windsor community,” said Chris Ramsey, divisional vice president for Buffalo Wild Wings.
The new Windsor restaurant features over 50 wall-to-wall HD TVs for event and sports viewing. The new location also brought over 90 jobs to the area.
The company plans on opening three more restaurants in Ontario by June. There are currently over 850 Buffalo Wild Wings locations open in Canada and the U.S.
