Alleged thief busted after taking off in fire exit
Chatham-Kent police have arrested a 35-year-old man who allegedly stole over $1,000 in items from a Wallaceburg business.
Officers responded to the business on McNaughton Avenue at 9 p.m. on Monday.
Police say he exited the business by the fire exit with the items. He was found in the area and arrested by patrol officers.
All of the items were recovered and returned to the store. The Wallaceburg man was charged with theft and possession and released with a future court date.
