Windsor police have laid attempted murder charges, after a man was shot in the head during a violent home invasion.
The incident took place on Dec. 9 at a home in the 800 block of Langlois Avenue. Police say two men allegedly entered the home, one carrying a wooden club and the other a firearm.
After a physical confrontation, police say the 49-year-old male resident was shot in the head. The two suspects stole nothing. The victim is still recovering from his injuries.
Police have charged 20-year-old Kevin Poblete of Windsor with attempted murder for allegedly shooting the victim.
Police say more charges could be laid.
Officers are still looking for the second suspect. He’s described as a male in his 20’s, standing 5’7” with a slim build. He was last seen wearing a grey hoody and a black ball cap.
