A family is mourning the loss of a husband, son and brother, who was killed in a tragic construction accident on the Herb Gray Parkway on Tuesday.

A visitation service was held Sunday afternoon at Families First Funeral Home, where Giuseppe Serra’s family said he loved his job at PCR Contractors.

His loved ones are remembering him as fun-loving, caring family man with a sense of humour.

Born in Italy, the 40-year-old married his wife Terrasini last December.

In his spare time, he enjoyed building and collecting model airplanes.

But most of all his family said, he took pride in his construction job, loving every minute of it and never missing a day of work.

"As soon as he got the job that's all he could do is talk about it. Every Sunday he would come over to tell me what they were doing next. He's always there whenever you call him, always checking up on you, giving you a call saying, ‘How’s it going bro?’ Calling my dad, asking him where he's at or what he's doing,” his brother, Stefano Jr. says.

For his father, Stefano Sr., the situation doesn’t make sense.

I can't imagine. Why? Why that have to happen, why? Everybody always love him, you know. He used to say, ‘Hi Daddy, how are you doing?’”
