Woman dies following crash between scooter and car in Blenheim

Chatham-Kent police say a woman has died after her mobility scooter collided with a car in Blenheim.
Emergency crews responded to the crash shortly after 1:30 p.m. Thursday.
Police say a Chevrolet car and a mobility scooter collided at the intersection of Chatham Street North and Hannibal Street.
The car was travelling northbound on Chatham St. North at the time of the collision.
The 41-year-old female on the scooter was transported via ambulance to Chatham-Kent Health Alliance where she succumbed to her injuries.
The woman has been identified as Jennie Verbeek, 41, of Blenheim.
The driver of the Chevrolet car was uninjured.
The investigation continues.
