A 67-year-old Morpeth woman has been charged after her vehicle collided with a school bus with 21 children on board.

Chatham-Kent police say the crash took place just before 3 p.m. Tuesday afternoon on Queen Street near Tweedsmuir Avenue in Chatham.

The Morpeth woman was travelling southbound on Queen Street when she attempted to change lanes. While doing so, police say she struck a First Student school bus being driven by a 56-year-old Chatham woman.

There were 21 students on the bus at the time of the collision, but no one was injured.

Damage was estimated at $1500.

The Morpeth woman was charged with change lanes not in safety.
