With the threat of a strike, business was exceptionally busy at some Windsor LCBO stores.

Many people were stocking up on alcohol for the Victoria Day weekend and beyond.

Some Windsor locations had long lineups and many shelves looked a lot more depleted than usual.

LCBO spokeswoman Heather MacGregor says the agency is cautiously optimistic a deal will be reached in time to avoid a walkout at midnight.

MacGregor says LCBO management has a contingency plan to try and provide some service in the event of a strike, but couldn't say which stores could be closed by a walkout.
