Windsor’s Greek community has rejected a proposal to buy the former Grace Hospital site to build a new church and community centre.
The vote came after almost seven hours of debate that began Sunday afternoon and lasted until 9:30 p.m.
In the results, 179 people voted against the idea, while 91 others voted in favour.
The City of Windsor purchased the seven-acre former Grace Hospital property for a reported $2.1 million in 2012.
