During a distracted driving initiative in the month of October, the Windsor Police Service stopped 281 vehicles for infractions.

Of the 281 vehicles stopped, 278 of the infractions were in relation to cellphones and the remaining three were in relation to other entertainment devices like tablets or computers.

Over the same period police issued 34 warnings and handed out 247 tickets.
