Windsor police have made an arrest in a string of commercial break-ins where the suspect used a rock to smash through the front door of a business to gain entry.

Police have charged 35-year-old Curtis Gould with six counts of break and enter and five counts of possession of stolen property.

According to police an arrest was made Saturday, after officer responded to a suspicious vehicle call at around 6:50 a.m. in the area of Albert Road and Whelpton Street. Officers say they learned the male in the front of the vehicle had an outstanding warrant for breach of probation.

The accused was identified as a person of interest in the series of smashes and grabs at several businesses. These locations include Capri Pizza, Prestige Pastries, Hamoudi Shwarama and two Subway Restaurants.

The investigation is ongoing.
