Windsor police deem $120K fire on Parkwood Avenue suspicious
Damage is estimated at $120,000 after a fire on Parkwood Avenue.
Windsor Fire first reported the fires after 5 a.m. Monday, saying the first fire began with a vehicle fire in 2200 block of Parkwood Ave. before it spread to two homes.
The fire started in a 2004 black Mercedes parked between the two residences.
No one was hurt, but the Zvric and Brosnan families will have to find alternate accommodations.
Windsor police tell CTV Windsor they are classifying the fire as a crime scene.
The investigation into the cause of the fire is in the initial stages, but has been deemed suspicious.
Sergeant Steve Betteridge says the damage estimate could rise as the investigation continues.
Investigators from the Windsor Police Service Arson Unit are continuing to look into the case.
