Two 20-year-old Toronto men have been arrested by the Windsor police drugs and guns unit after an investigation indicated they were dealing drugs out of a Wyandotte Street apartment.
Police say the pair became friends with a resident in the 1200 block of Wyandotte Street East so they could deal drugs out of his apartment.
Officers saw the two men enter a Veteran's Taxi on Tuesday after exiting the apartment building. The emergency services unit helped stop the cab near Peter Street and Rosedale Avenue at 11:05p.m.
The two suspects were arrested without incident.
Officers discovered both men were wearing bullet proof vests. One of the suspects had a loaded Smith and Wesson .40 Calibre handgun tucked in front of his pants waistline.
Sezar Hermez and Richard Bediako are both charged with unauthorized possession of a firearm.
