A man has been arrested in connection to a rash of break and enters in several Windsor neighbourhoods.

Windsor police were called to the 1500 block of Dougall Avenue on Wednesday, around 1:05 a.m. for a report of a man lurking near a garage. A short time later police received a call, where a resident found her door open in the 1500 block of York Street.

Officers attending the scene witnessed a person of interest riding a bike around 2:30 a.m. The man’s description matched what was provided to police earlier in the night at the incident on Dougall.

The man was stopped and was allegedly found to be in possession of two ladies watches. Police say the man is believed to be responsible for an attempted break and enter on Oct. 28 in the 2200 block of Victoria Avenue, as well as a vehicle break-in on Oct. 26.

The 35-year-old Windsor man is charged with attempt break and enter. He remains in police custody and is expected to face additional charges.
