A labour dispute at Toronto Pearson International Airport is causing cancellations and delays in Windsor.

Some Air Canada flights between Windsor and Toronto were cancelled Friday.

A number of other flights at Pearson have been delayed or cancelled.

A spokesperson with the Greater Toronto Airport Authority says the problems are due to a labour disruption between a refuelling company and some airlines.

Spokeswoman Sheena Hanifa asks passengers to check their flight status online, but wouldn't say which airlines are being affected.

Some passengers in Windsor were irked.

Michael Shaw was to fly out west to visit his son, but his 10 a.m. flight to Toronto was cancelled so he had no way to catch his connecting flight to Vancouver.

"It's a major inconvenience. We've got everything planned. We've been waiting for this for two months and get to the airport and, 'Oh, sorry flight is cancelled,'" he says.

The union representing the workers says about 300 employees of Consolidated Aviation Fueling are losing their jobs after Air Canada and a number of other airlines awarded their fueling contract to another provider.
