This year's crop of inductees at the Windsor-Essex Sports Hall of Fame has been announced.
Five athletes and three builders were unveiled at the Hall of Fame wall inside the International Aquatic and Training Centre.
Volleyball player Anne Grover, basketball player Brittany Hedderson, track and field athlete Joanne Rothery, former CFL and NFL player Jerry Kauric and boxer Todd Nadon are entered in the athletes’ category.
Curler Alice Bell and basketball coach Pete Cusumano will join the late Bob Weepers on the builder's side.
An induction ceremony will take place Friday, Oct. 20.
The Riverside Bantam-Midget Holiday Hockey Tournament and the Windsor AKO Junior Men's Basketball team from 1974 to 1979 will also be recognized at the ceremony.
