WINDSOR -- Residents have given Windsor-Essex a failing grade when it comes to housing.

That’s according to information released Thursday in the Windsor-Essex Community Foundation’s 2019 Vital Signs report.

The seventh Vital Signs report is a snapshot of life in Windsor-Essex that measures the vitality of the community by way of offering letter grades.

Housing got an ‘F’ in the report.

Residents gave Windsor-Essex grades of ‘C’ for work, health and wellness, and safety.

The report was mostly C’s across the board, except for housing.

WECF executive director Lisa Kolody hopes the failing grade will trigger action by community stakeholders.

"We want this to be used by service providers, by municipalities, by schools, any community agency that is making decisions around programs and services and opportunities," says Kolody. "And we use it when we determine our granting."

The report is available online at the WECF website
