Windsor cop found guilty in Police Act hearing
A Windsor police officer has been found guilty of discreditable conduct and neglect of duty.
Staff Sgt. Paul Bridgeman was facing the Police Act charges for his involvement with the David Van Buskirk case. Van Buskirk is a former Windsor police detective, who pleaded guilty to assaulting Dr. Tyceer Abouhassan in April 2010.
Bridgeman was accused of endorsing a charge of assaulting a police officer laid against the doctor. The charge was stayed.
Sentencing for Bridgeman will be put over until Oct. 9 via teleconference.
