Less than a month after getting charged with selling and distribution contraband tobacco products, two Windsor convenience store workers were the subject of another investigation and more charges.

RCMP officers in Windsor executed a search warrant on Wednesday at a convenience store located on Westcott Street. Police seized 389 cartons of illegal cigarettes and $1,670 in cash.

Ali Hanzel ,38, and Diana Hanzel, 41, both face charges of unlawful possession of unstamped tobacco. Both are scheduled to appear in a Windsor court on Aug. 19.

Police executed a search warrant at the same location on June 28. Both Ali and Diana Hanzel face similar charges as a result of that police investigation. About 220 cartons of illegal cigarettes, a vehicle and approximately $6,000 in cash was seized at the time.
