Members of the planning and economic development standing committee listened to delegates speak for and against a plan to build a commercial development at the north east corner of Dominion Boulevard and Northwood Street in Windsor's south end.

Some residents argue the intersection is already congested.

They are worried a business corner would only make it worse.

However, property owner of South Windsor Developments says the area is not congested with traffic.

Karl Tanner of Dillon Consulting does not see a problem with the project. “From my perspective I’ve looked at the property. It’s underutilized what's the best use? It's commercial.”

Still, city administration has recommended the development be denied in its current state.

The matter now goes to city council.
