Million Dollar Quartet

Elvis singer and actor Daniel Durston says Million Dollar Quartet has a cast of fully trained performers. The story shows a fateful day at Sun Studios in Memphis, Tennessee, where music legends Elvis Presley, Johnny Cash, Jerry Lee Lewis and Carl Perkins put on one incredible jam session. He says the audience will recognize several hits. The show runs Friday and Saturday at Caesars Windsor. There are still a few tickets available.

WSO: Toldo Pops – The Music of Star Wars

May the force of the Windsor Symphony Orchestra be with you. The WSO is playing music from all of the Star Wars films on Saturday and Sunday at the Capitol Theatre. Teams from the audience will compete in a “Name That Film/Character” trivia contest. Attendees are encouraged to dress up as their favourite Star Wars character. Sat 8 pm, Sun 2:30 pm, $42 and up/Adult, $14/Youth.

Freedom Singer

After the world premiere of “Freedom Singer” during Black History Month 2017, Project: Humanity is bringing the production to server Canadian cities, including Windsor.   Co-created by Juno-nominee Khari Wendell McClelland and Project: Humanity’s Andrew Kushnir, Freedom Singer is a musical journey through the history of the Underground Railroad and the songs that carried freedom seekers northward to Canada. It’s performed by McClelland along with JUNO nominee Toronto soul singer Tanika Charles. The production will be at the Capitol Theatre on Friday night.  

Ruthven Apple Festival

More than just apples, plenty of entertainment is planned for the Ruthven Apple Festival. The family tradition includes live local bands, a parade, rides, children’s games, craft and food vendors, farmer’s market, car show. Colasanti's Tropical Gardens hosts the event Saturday and Sunday. Admission and parking are free. Proceeds benefit Community Living Essex County in support of people with an intellectual disability and their families.

James Bond: A Convenient Lie – An Opera

There’s a new opera at Walkerville Centre for the Creative Arts.  James Bond: A Convenient Lie runs Friday and Saturday.
