The Catholic teachers union says 11 high school teachers have been reinstated after being suspended Monday related to the support staff strike.

Ontario English Catholic Teachers Association local president Brian Hogan tells CTV News the teachers at St. Thomas of Villanova High School will be back to work on Wednesday.

Windsor police were at F. J. High Brennan High School Tuesday morning, telling picketers to speed up the teacher delay by allowing five cars by at a time rather than one.

It’s the ninth day of the strike at the Windsor-Essex Catholic District School Board involving 370 clerical workers, technicians, custodians, maintenance and office staff.

Picketing support workers have been slowing down traffic entering the Catholic schools since the strike began, sometimes holding each car for about five to 10 minutes.

CTV’s Chris Campbell has more details in his report.
