Vehicle clocked at 162 km/h on Highway 401 in Chatham: OPP

A Toronto-area man is charged after allegedly being clocked travelling at 60 km/h over the posted speed limit in Chatham-Kent.
According to OPP, an officer was conducting radar enforcement along Highway 401, near Drake Side Road on Thursday, around 12:30 p.m. Police say the officer witnessed a Volkswagen SUV travelling at 162 km/h.
The vehicle was stopped and the 26-year-old Etobicoke man was charged with racing a motor vehicle. The driver’s licence was also suspended and the vehicle impounded for seven days.
