It was a very scary Halloween for three teenagers after being rescued on the Detroit River.

The teens became stranded after crossing from Grosse Ile, Michigan in a 12 ft boat.

The Coast Guard Sector Detroit pulled the boys from the river using a helicopter hoist.

The aircrew took them to Grosse Isle Airport where they were met by awaiting emergency medical services personnel and their parents.

The owner of the boat intends to retrieve the vessel when weather permits.
